It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner, that the petitioner retired as Joint Commissioner (Appeals), Commercial Tax Department, Jaunpur on 31.1.2010 after attaining the age of superannuation. He was paid the leave encashment and gratuity as retiral dues with delay of about seven months. By this writ petition he has prayed for interest on the amount of leave encashment and gratuity.
Learned Standing Counsel appear for all the respondents. He will seek instructions or file counter affidavit within two weeks.
