By means of the present writ petition the petitioner is challenging the order dated 15.11.2011 by which the affiliation of the petitioner's institution for the diploma courses has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner has moved the application beyond the specified period and the admission has been closed on 30.9.2011 and one and half months have been passed and, therefore, granting the affiliation will not achieve the object.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the admission has not been closed and the students are still being offered for the admission, which is apparent from the letter dated 18.11.2011. He further submitted that the State Government has granted affiliation to the new colleges even on 13.10.2011. The order dated 13.10.2011 is Annexure-12 to the writ petition. He submitted that when the other colleges can be granted affiliation after the close of the admission, as alleged in the order, the petitioner can also be granted affiliation.
Learned Standing Counsel may seek instruction in the matter and file counter affidavit within 10 days.
