Petitioners' case in the writ petition is that both the petitioners being major have performed their Nikah on 17th October, 2011. The petitioner No.1 was earlier professing Hindu religion, who embraced Islam and performed the Nikah.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that without their being any first information report, the petitioners are being harassed by the police personnel.
Issue notice to respondent No.3. Petitioners to take steps for service within two weeks. The respondents may file counter affidavit within four weeks.
List thereafter.
In the meantime, in case no first information report has been lodged against the petitioners, no coercive action shall be taken against them.
