About the Positions

Positions for the engagement of Research Assistant and Intern are to be filled on contractual consolidated monthly salary basis, under the IPR Chair established by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Govt. of India, New Delhi, at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

Positions: Research Assistant and Interns.

Eligibility

  1. Research Assistant:
    • Graduate; or
    • PG/LL.M. Degree; or
    • Phd Scholars
    • Preferable Age Limit 35 Years.
  2. Interns
    • Students of LL.B. Programs: Third, Fourth- and Fifth-year students of the S-Year Integrated B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) course, or Second- and Third-Year students of the 3-year LL.B. Course.
    • Post Graduate Students: Students who are currently pursuing or have completed an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law.
    • Ph.D. Scholars: Engaged in research in the field of Intellectual Property Law.

Salary

  1. Research Assistant:
    • Graduate: Rs. 47,000.
    • PG/LL.M. Degree: Rs. 57,000.
    • Phd Scholars: Rs. 67,000.
  2. Interns: Rs. 10,000.

  2. Interns: 4.

Duration

Duration of engagement of ‘Research Assistant’ and ‘Interns’ will be commensurate with the duration of the project and work requirement, subject to satisfactory performance.

The ‘Research Assistant’ is required to submit a Bond to the effect that he/she will serve on the above position on contractual consolidated monthly pay basis at least for a period of one year in the National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

Interested Candidates are required to appear for the Walk-in-Interview along with hard copy of the Application Form (in prescribed format as uploaded on NLIU Website) with self-attested copies of their educational qualifications and experience certificates in support of their claim as per the following schedule:

  • Walk-In-Interview to be held for the position of ‘Research Assistant’ on 04.05.2026 (Monday) from 10.00 a.m. onwards in the Conference Room of the Samadhan Bhawan of the NLIU.
  • Walk-In-Interview to be held for the position of ‘Interns’ on 06.05.2026 (Wednesday) from 10.00 a.m. onwards in the Conference Room of the Samadhan Bhawan of the NLIU.
