About the Organizer

AI Safety Hong Kong (AISHK) is a new community initiative dedicated to fostering safe, responsible, and human-centered AI development. We bring together researchers, tech professionals, and policy thinkers to explore the transition toward advanced AI systems and how we can shape the future of AI with human values at its core.

Details about the Event

As AI transforms every industry, how do we ensure it does so safely and responsibly?

AISHK is hosting its inaugural virtual event: “Preparing for AGI: The Age of Superintelligence.”

This session will feature Tzu Kit Chan (Chief of Staff at Atlas Computing). As a dedicated AGI Preparedness field-builder, Tzu Kit has an extensive track record of founding and scaling AI safety communities and research groups across multiple regions, working to build the global ecosystem needed to ensure advanced AI remains safe and aligned.

The event will be a deep dive into:

  • The Governance Gap: Navigating the emerging risks and real-world policy challenges posed by increasingly autonomous AI systems.
  • The Alignment Problem: What it actually takes to build transparency, accountability, and human values into tomorrow’s frontier models.
  • The Path Forward: How forward-thinking professionals, policymakers, and communities can collaborate to shape responsible AI innovation.

This inaugural session is the first step in building a thoughtful, safety-conscious AI community—and we want you to be part of the conversation.

Who is it for / Eligibility

This event is open to everyone globally. It is especially valuable for law students, policy professionals, and future regulators who want to stay ahead of the curve on tech governance and AI ethics.
