About the Competition

Law Bandhu Publications, a wing of Law Bandhu, aims to enhance the legal writing skills and legal research among law aspirants. This competition is an opportunity to reflect researching and writing skills upon our prejudices and the intersection of law and societal values.

Topics

Difference between quashing of F.I.R, Complaint & Charge Sheet.
Rule of Estoppel v Promissory Estoppel.
Law on maintenance to in-laws from daughter-in-law.

Guidelines

• The article must be submitted in English language only and must be in Microsoft Word Format(.doc/.docx) or pdf only.
• Only one submission per author is permitted. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors per article.
• All entries should include a cover page specifying name of the author, institutional affiliation, course and year of study, e-mail address and contact number.
• Plagiarism of any nature will attract immediate disqualification.
• The suggested word limit for the article is 2000 - 2500 words inclusive of citations.
• Every article must have a title and an abstract. (Abstract – 250 words with 5 keywords, excluding the word count of article)
• The article must not exceed with 12% of Plagiarism.
• The decision of jury of Law Bandhu shall be final and binding.
• Abstract and the article should be sent in either doc/docx or pdf.

Formatting Guidelines

• The article should be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size-12, Line Spacing-1.5, and justified.
• The footnotes must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size-10 and Line Spacing-1.
• The margins should be 1 inch or 2.54 cm on all sides.
• Every citation must follow the Harvard Bluebook, 20th Edition.

• Interested candidates may register for the competition through the link provided at the end.
• Note: Registration Fee Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only)
• The minimum contribution for the registration will be Rs. 100/- for a single author and Rs. 200/- in case of co-authorship.
