It is a center of excellence in legal education affiliated with MG University and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. BSOLS believes that all students have the drive for excellence. The focus is on interactive learning through case studies, group discussions, seminars, debates, role plays, live projects, moot courts, and other related activities. These tools serve as effective instruments to sharpen the decision-making, leadership, team-building, and analytical skills of students.
It is an alternative dispute resolution center for the resolution of disputes using the tools of Negotiation, Conciliation, Mediation, and other methods like Arbitration and Expert Determination, at Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies, Choondy, Aluva, Kerala. It is formed to create a culture of harmonious dispute resolutions in society, for quick, easy, facilitative, and cost-effective dispute resolutions, with a larger objective of restorative justice for emotionally and mentally challenged disputants of the entire community of the state, nation, and the world.
It is an Indian institute for International and Domestic Alternative Dispute Resolution Services, existing for the resolution of disputes or conflicts using the most modern and sophisticated ADR methods and technology, and research. IIIMA facilitates mediation and officiates arbitration proceedings both international and domestic and provides a facility for alternate dispute resolution [(ADR), including ODR (online dispute resolution)] viz mediation arbitration/conciliation and negotiation, with result-oriented attempts.
The program will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice A Muhamed Mustaque, Judge, High Court of Kerala. The resource person of the program is Adv P. R. Shaji, the President of the Indian Institute for International Mediation & Arbitration (IIIMA).
The webinar will discuss the new trends of Mediation in the light of the newly passed Mediation Bill 2023 in India followed by an interactive session with the resource person at the end of the program.

Inauguration of the Programme – A. Muhamed Mustaque (born as Muhamed Mustaque Ayumantakath on 1 June 1967) is the permanent Judge of the Kerala High Court since 10 March 2016 and Chairman of the Computerisation Committee of the High Court since 18 September 2019 the highest court in Kerala and Lakshadweep located at Kochi, Ernakulam.
Resource Person– Adv. P.R. Shaji has been a standing lawyer at the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala for over 28 years. He began his practice in 1993 as an Associate Lawyer at Sukumaran & Usha Lawyers, a firm founded by Former High Court Justice K.Sukumaran and Former Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Justice K.K. Usha. As a practicing lawyer, Adv. Shaji has extensive experience in Litigation and has conducted cases in Company Matters, Civil and Criminal Matters, and Constitutional Matters in the High Court of Kerala. He has conducted cases in the Center and State Service Tribunals as well as the National Law Tribunal (Ernakulam).
