About the Centre for Advanced Studies in Labour Welfare (CASLW)

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Labour Welfare (CASLW) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab was established in 2012 to improve and strengthen India’s labour justice system. It promotes labour rights, human dignity, legal awareness, and organizes research, educational activities, and projects including work on migrant labourers and a dedicated labour law blog.

About the Initiative: ‘Shram’

“Shram” is our new weekly newsletter aimed at fostering a consistent and engaging dialogue on contemporary issues within labour and employment law. Each week, the newsletter will feature insightful articles, case commentaries, legislative analyses, and updates on this dynamic area of law, serving as a valuable resource for anyone interested in the field.

Eligibility

All students, academicians, legal practitioners, HR professionals, and anyone with an interest in labour and employment law can submit their original and unpublished manuscripts.

Please note: The themes are merely illustrative and not exhaustive. Any paper written within the broader purview of the theme will be considered.

Submission Guidelines

  • Length: 1000–1300 words (extendable up to 1500).
  • Co-authorship: allowed for up to two authors.
  • Originality: Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism. Authors are responsible for accuracy. Copyright rests with CASLW; moral rights remain with the author(s).
  • Formatting & Citation: Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing, and justified text.
  • Citations should be through in-text hyperlinks for online sources, and OSCOLA (4th Edition) endnotes for offline sources.
  • Any failure to adhere to submission guidelines may result in rejection of the submission.

How to Submit?

All submissions have to be are to submissions to caslw@rgnul.ac.in. The subject of the email should be in the following format: “Submission for Shram Post | [Title of your Topic] | [Your Name]”.
