The Indian Economic Law Review (IELR) is practitioner-run blog that aims to facilitate academic discourse on various areas of economic law, including corporate, banking, insolvency, taxation, competition, trade, white-collar crime, employment, insurance, and commercial disputes.

Submission Guidelines

IELR features submissions via two verticals:

  • Open to practitioners and academics: Brief notes updating readers of legal developments, grey areas in the law, or unaddressed challenges (300-500 words)

  • Open to students, academics, and practitioners: Detailed analytical articles on contemporary matters (1500-2000 words)

Content Guidelines

  • The submission should address current issue(s) impacting India in any of the following areas of law: corporate, banking, insolvency, taxation, competition, trade, white-collar crime, employment, insurance, and commercial disputes. 
  • IELR considers two forms of submissions:
    Open to practitioners and academics: Brief note updating readers of legal developments, grey areas in the law, or unaddressed challenges, not exceeding 500 words.
    Open to practitioners, academics, and students: Detailed analytical articles on contemporary matters, not exceeding 1500 words.
  • Referencing should be through the means of hyperlinking within the text of the article itself. If there is no online source available/ such referencing is otherwise not possible, footnotes may be used.
  • The submission must be made in an MS Word document formatted using Times New Roman font, size 11, line spacing 1.15.
  • The body of the manuscript should contain the details of the author(s) including Name, Institution/ Organisation of Affiliation, and if applicable, Year of Study. Co-authorship is permitted up to two (2) authors.
  • The body of the submission email should contain the abstract of the manuscript, at least three keywords, and if applicable, the LinkedIn URL of the author(s).
