About the Edited Book

The edited volume titled NyayaSpandana: Empowering Legal Literacy emerges as a scholarly and practical effort to bridge the persistent gap between legal knowledge and grassroots realities in India. The book seeks to compile critical research, analytical essays, and case studies that advance the discourse on legal literacy as a foundational pillar for equitable justice.

Purpose and Vision

The book will reflect a transformative vision of legal literacy, not merely as academic understanding, but as a powerful tool for empowering active citizenship, strengthening constitutional values, and addressing systemic social inequities. It explores how legal education, outreach, and advocacy can demystify law and governance structures for marginalized and underserved communities, including tribal and rural populations.
