He was greeting the Nation on the occasion of Rakhi.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday asked all the Countrymen to resolve and ensure that every Women and Girl feel safe and secure at all places at all times.
While conveying his message to the Nation on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, President Mukherjee said the festival of Rakhi stands for the pure eternal bond of love and trust that brothers and sisters share amongst them.
He said,"May the Festival of Rakhi strengthen the spirit of oneness and fraternal feelings in our society. We shall collectively strive for the well-being of our people,"
President said this unique festival spreads the message for need to protect the women in our society and promote their welfare in all spheres.
He stressed.,"Let us resolve to ensure that in our country the women and girls should feel safe and secure at all times,"
