On Friday, Chairperson of Juvenile Justice Panel Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi has sought the intervention of Governor in securing rights of the children of the returnees under the rehabilitation scheme announced by the State Govt in 2010.
In a letter to the Governor Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi has written that 455 children who returned to the state with their parents till January 31, 2014 have reportedly not been given important documents like Adhaar cards, ration cards, travel documents and permanent resident certificates, etc. till date.
“The denial of the documents to the children makes important services inaccessible to these children,” he has written.
He has urged the Governor to intervene and help these children to get valid documents.
