Haryana Ex. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda landed into trouble when  Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) dropped in to search his residence at Rohtak on Saturday.

Bhupinder Hooda has found himself embroiled in one or another controversy ever since BJP Government has come into power in Haryana in 2014.

Hooda has got involved in several other cases and probes but he has termed this as “political vendetta” and stated that he is open to any inquiry.

CBI raids pertain to the case which has been registered by agency in September 2015 in connection with release of about 400 acres of land  which had been acquired by previous Congress government at throwaway prices from villagers in Gurgaon and had been allegedly sold off to private builders.

The case was registered against “unknown public servants of the Haryana government and unknown private person.

It has been alleged that the 14 industrial plots ranging from about 496 square metres to the size of 1280 square metres were allotted at throwaway prices after changes were made midway in the eligibility criteria.

Retd Justice S N Dhingra commission submitted  its report this week to the Haryana government in which he had brought to light irregularities that were committed.

The commission had probed into the grant of the licenses for change in land use in four villages of Gurgaon, including license which was granted to the company which is owned by Robert Vadra who is son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
