An Act to repeal the Bihar Disaster Management Act, 2004 enacted by the State Legislature of Bihar due to the enactment of The Disaster Management Act, 2005 by Parliament of the Republic of India.

Be it enacted by the State Legislature of Bihar in the Fifty-Eighth year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called Bihar Disaster Management (Repeal) Act, 2007.

(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Repeal and savings.- (1) The Bihar Disaster Management Act, 2004 is hereby repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Act shall be deemed to be done under The Bihar Disaster Management Act, 2004 and validity of anything done or any action taken shall not be open to be questioned due to repeal of The Bihar Disaster Management Act, 2004.

(3) The Bihar Disaster Management (Repeal) Ordinance, 2007 (Bihar Ordinance No. 1, 2007) is hereby repealed.

(4) Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or any action taken in exercise of any power conferred by, or under the said ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken in exercise of the powers conferred by or under this Act, as if this Act were in force on the day on which such thing was done or action taken.
