The Cement Control (Regulation of Production) Order, 1981

S.O. 129(E), dated 24th February,1981. - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely :-
- Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Order may be called the Cement Control (Regulation of Production) Order, 1981.
(2) It extends of the whole of India.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
- Prohibition regarding production of certain varieties of cement.- No person shall produce any variety of cement for sale, other than the varieties specified below :-

| Oil well cement | 8229-E-1976 |
Provided that the Central Government may permit the production and sale of any other variety of cement taking into consideration the special needs of Defence, Railways, power units, or any other industry.
