G.S.R. 281(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

  1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative coin on the occasion of 350thBirth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

  1. Denomination of Coins.- The coin of three hundred fifty rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of "350thBirth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji ".
  2. Dimension and composition of coin.- The coin of the denominations mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely:-

  1. Design.- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule to these rules.
  2. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The Standard weight of the coin of the above denomination coined to commemorate the occasion of 350thBirth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule to these rules.

Obverse:

This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend ^lR;eso t;rs* inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the world ^Hkkjr* in the Devanagari script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English and it shall also bear the Rupee symbol "L" and denominational value "350" in International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

Reverse:

This face of the coin shall bear the picture of "Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib" in the centre, with inscription ^^r[r Jh gfjeafnj th iVuk lkfgc** in Devanagari in the picture. The inscription ^^Jh xq: xksfcUn flag th dk 350oka izdk'ksRlo** shall be written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery and "350th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji" in English language on the lower periphery of the coin are made. The year "1666" and "2016" in international numerals shall be flanked on the left and right periphery of the coin.
