The Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Board Order, 1960

G.S.R. 408, dated 6th April, 1960. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Inter-State Corporations Act, 1957 (38 of 1957), the Central Government, after consulting the Governments of the States of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, approves with certain modifications, the scheme forwarded by the Government of Madhya Pradesh relating to the reconstitution and reorganisation of the Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Board, a Corporation established under the Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Act, Samvat 2009 and functioning in parts of the States of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh , and for the purpose of giving effect to the said scheme so approved, the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely:-
- Short title and commencement.- (i) This Order may be called the Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Board Order, 1960.
(ii) It shall come into force on 15th April, 1960.
- Definitions.- In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Act" means the Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Act, Samvat 2009;
(b) "appointed day" means the date of commencement of this Order;
(c) "Board" means the Madhya Bharat Indian Medicine Board established under the Act;
(d) "Sunel Tappa area" means the territories specified in Clause (d) of subsection (1) of Section 10 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (37 of 1956).
- Exclusion of Sunel Tappa area from the operation of the Board.- As from the appointed day, the Board shall cease to function and operate in the Sunel Tappa area.
- Adaptation of the Act.- As from the appointed day, the Act shall, until altered, repealed or amended by the Legislature of the State, have effect subject to the modifications indicated below:-
Section 1. - After sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-
"(3) As from the 15th April 1960, it shall cease to have effect in the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Sunel Tappa of Bhanpura tahsil of Mandsaur district in the State of Madhya Bharat.".
