In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Mandal [Neta Pratipaksh] (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam 1980 (No. 8 of 1980), the State Government hereby makes the following rules namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Mandal [Neta Pratipaksh](Residence) Conveyance and Travelling and Daily Allowances) Rules, 1980.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th days August, 1980.
- Application of rules to the [Neta Pratipaksh].- Subject to the provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Mandal [Neta Pratipaksh](Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1980 (No. 8 of 1980) the Madhya Pradesh Ministers (Residence) Rules, 1964, the Madhya Pradesh Ministers (Purchase and Maintenance of Conveyances) Rules, 1974 and the Madhya Pradesh Ministers (Travelling and Daily Allowances) Rules, 1972 shall, so far as may be, apply in the case of the [Neta Pratipaksh] as they apply in case of a Minister.
- Interpretation.- If any question arises as to the interpretation of these rules, it shall be referred to the State Government for decision.
