An Act to repeal the Madhya Pradesh Avyaparik Nigam Adhiniyam, 1962.

Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :

Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called The Madhya Pradesh Avyaparik Nigam (Nirsan) Adhiniyam, 1998.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification, appoint.

Definitions.- In this Act unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) "Appointed day" means the date of commencement of this Act under sub-section (2) of Section 1;

(b) "Corporation" means the non-trading corporation framed and registered under the repealed Act;

Repeal and Saving.- (1) On the appointed day the Madhya Pradesh Non-Trading Corporation Act, 1962 (No. 20 of 1962) shall stand repealed and the Corporations registered under the repealed Act shall be deemed to have been registered under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registrikaran Adhiniyam, 1973 (No. 44 of 1973).

(2) Any proceedings pending immediately before the appointed day to which the Registrar of Corporation was party, shall be continued as if the Registrar under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registrikaran Adhiniyam, 1973 was party thereof in lieu of the Registrar of Corporation.
