No. G.S.R. 61/H.A. 3/1975/S.8/97. - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker's and Deputy speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1975, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules to regulate the allowances of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, namely :- 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Haryana Legislative Assembly Speakers and Deputy Speaker's Allowance Rules, 1997. (2) These rules shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st August, 1997. 2. Sumptuary allowance. - A sumptuary allowance at the rate of [three thousand rupees] per mensem shall be paid to the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. 3. Conveyance allowance. - A conveyance allowance at the rate of [ten thousand rupees] per mensem shall be paid to the Speaker and Deputy Speaker in lieu of Stat car.
