Appointment of Certain Officers At Certain Ports For The Purposes of Section 253 of the Act

No. 56-M.I. (4)/30, dated 1st November, 1930. - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 170 of the Indian Merchant Shipping Act, 1923 (21of 1923), and in supersession of all previous orders on the subject, the Governor General in Council is pleased to [appoint] the officers specified in the second column of Schedule "A" annexed hereto for the purposes of sub-sections (1) and (2), and the officers specified in the second column of Schedule "B" annexed hereto for the purposes of sub-section (2), of the said section, at the ports specified in the corresponding entry in the first column of the said Schedules, respectively:-

[S.O. 1526, dated 30th April, 1965. ] - In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of Section 253 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), read with the order of the Government of India i n the late Ministry of Transport and [Communications] No. S.O. 3144, dated the 17th December, 1960, the Director-General of Shipping, hereby appoints the Surveyor-in-Charge, Mercantile Marine Department, Port of Bedi Bunder, Jamnagar as an officer at the said port for the purposes of the said section.
