G.S.R. 584(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 81 of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following regulations, namely :-

  1. Short title.- These regulations may be called the Customs Baggage Declaration Regulations, 2013.
  2. Extent of application.- These regulations shall apply to baggage including any package comprised therein of the passengers coming to India. These regulations will come into effect w.e.f. 1st January, 2014.
  3. Method of Declaration of Baggage.- [All passengers who come to India and have anything to declare or are carrying dutiable or prohibited goods]shall declare their accompanied baggage in Form 1 appended to this regulation.
