In exercise of the powers conferred by section 45 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely:-—

  1. Short title and commencement .—(1) This Order may be called the Foreign Exchange Management (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2000.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

  1. Appointment of Chairperson and Members of Appellant Tribunal on ad hoc basis .—Until a Chairperson and Members are appointed in accordance with the provisions of sections 20, 21 and 22 of the said Act, the Central Government shall appoint such persons as it may deem fit on ad hoc basis to discharge functions of a Chairperson and Members of the Appellate Tribunal.
