G.S.R. 100(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Seventy Five Rupees, Ten Rupees, Five Rupees, Two Rupees and One Rupee coined on the occasion of "Platinum Jubilee of Reserve Bank of India" Rules, 2010.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard weight and remedy allowed.- Standard weight and remedy allowed on coins of Rs. 75, Rs. 10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Re. 1 denominations, under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) to commemorate the occasion of "Platinum Jubilee of Reserve Bank of India" and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :-
