G.S.R. 711(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the One Hundred Rupees, Five Rupees and Two Rupees coined to Commemorate the occasion of "XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi" Rules, 2010.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard weight and remedy allowed.- Standard weight and remedy allowed on coins of certain denominations coined under the provisions of section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) to commemorate the occasion of "XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi" and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :-

Two Rupees | 5.62 | 1/100th plus or minus for Chromium that is to say, Chromium could vary from 16% to 18% | 1/25th plus or minus, that is to say, the weight could vary from 5.39 grams to 6.24 grams. |
