G.S.R. 660(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules namely :-

  1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees of Ferritic Stainless Steel coined to commemorate the occasion of "Golden Jubilee Celebration od Khadi and Village Industries Commission" Rules, 2007.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

  1. The Standard Weight and Remedy of the Coin.- The standard weight of the coin on Rupees Five, denominations, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), and the remedy allowed in making of such coin, to commemorate the occasion of "Golden Jubilee Celebration of Khadi and Village Industries Commission" shall be as specified in the Table as follows :-
