G.S.R. 45 (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-

Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees coined to commemorate the occasion of "State Bank of India Bicentennial Year" Rules, 2007.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coin of the following denomination, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 and the remedy in making such coin to commemorate the occasion of "State Bank of India Bicentennial Year" shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :-
