G.S.R. 44 (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees coined to commemorate the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebration of ONGC Rules, 2007.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of five rupees denomination, coined under the provision of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) and the remedy in making of such coin as to commemorate the occasion of "Golden Jubilee Celebration of ONGC" coin shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :-
