G.S.R. 470(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 21 read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (i) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Fifty Rupees and Five Rupees coined to commemorate the event of "Golden Jubilee Celebration of Khadi and Village Industries Commission", Rules, 2007.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Definition.- In these rules, "Act" means the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906).
- Standard Weight and Remedy allowed.- Standard Weight and Remedy Allowed on coins of the following denominations, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act, to commemorate the event of "Golden Jubilee Celebration of Khadi and Village Industries Commission" shall be as specified in the Table below :-
