G.S.R. 374(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Fifty Paise, One Rupee and Two Rupees Rules, 2011.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The Standard weight of the coins of Fifty Paisa, One Rupee & Two Rupees denominations, coined under the provision of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906, and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below :-
