G.S.R. 412(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

  1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of Ferritic Stainless Steel Coin of Rupees Two, Coined with the theme "Nritya Mudra" Rules, 2007.

(2) They shall come into force on tile date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

  1. Definition.- In these rules, "Act" means the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906).
  2. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coin of certain denominations coined with the theme "Nritya Mudra", the standard weight of the ferritic stainless steel coins of the following denomination, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act and the remedy allowed in making such coins shall be as specified in the Table below :-
