G.S.R. 709(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 21 read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Standard Weight and Remedy of Commemorative Coins) of Rupees Five (containing Copper 75% and Nickel 25%) coined in the memory of "Dadabhai Naoroji", Rules, 2003.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coin of certain denomination coined in the memory of "Dadabhai Naoroji".- The standard weight of the coin of the following denomination, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), on "Dadabhai Naoroji" and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Table below:-
