G.S.R. 709(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 21 read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

  1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Standard Weight and Remedy of Commemorative Coins) of Rupees Five (containing Copper 75% and Nickel 25%) coined in the memory of "Dadabhai Naoroji", Rules, 2003.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

  1. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coin of certain denomination coined in the memory of "Dadabhai Naoroji".- The standard weight of the coin of the following denomination, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), on "Dadabhai Naoroji" and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Table below:-
