Appointment of Chief Registrar and Other Officers under the Enforcement of Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969

  1. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (Central Act No. 18 of 1969) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoints the Director of Health as Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths for the State of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (Central Act No. 18 of 1969) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoints:

(a) The Additional Director of Medical and Health Services (Communicable Diseases), the Deputy Commissioner of Panchayat Raj in the Office of the Commissioner of Panchayat Raj, Hyderabad and the Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad as the Additional Chief Registrars of Births and Deaths for the State of Andhra Pradesh.

(b) The Regional Director of Medical and Health Services of each zone as Additional Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths and the Deputy Director (Statistics) in the Office of the Regional Director of Medical and Health Services as Additional Deputy Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths for their respective Zones.

(c) The Deputy Director of Medical and Health Services (Statistics) in the Office of the Director of Health as the Deputy Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths for the State of Andhra Pradesh.

III. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (Central Act No. 18 of 1969), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoints:

(a) The District Medical and Health Officer of each district as District Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District.

(b) The District Revenue Officer of each district as the Additional District Registrar of Births and Deaths (Rural).

(c) The Commissioners of the Municipal Corporations of Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Kurool, Guntur, Warangal and Rajahmundry as the Additional District Registrar of Births and Deaths (Urban).

(d) The District Panchayat Office of each district as the Additional District Registrar of Births and Deaths.

  1. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (Central Act No. 18 of 1969), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoints the persons noted in column (2) as Registrar of Births and Deaths for the local areas specified in Column (1) of the statement given below:
