Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016

 

This Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act has been promulgated by Parliament of India in the year 2016. This Act also aims to provide for, as a good governance, efficient, transparent, and targeted delivery of subsidies, benefits and services, the expenditure for which is incurred from the Consolidated Fund of India, to individuals residing in India through assigning of unique identity numbers to such individuals and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. This statute has 8 Chapters and 59 Sections. The Chapter includes Enrolment, Authentication, Unique Identification Authority of India, Protection of Information, Offences and Penalities, this act also contains miscellaneous provisions like Members, officers, etc., to be public servants,  Protection of action taken in good faith, Power of Central Government to make rules, Power of Authority to make regulations, Laying of rules and regulations before Parliament.
