An Act further to amend the Doon University Act, 2005 (Uttarakhand Act No. 18 of 2005), Uttarakhand Open University Act, 2005 (Uttarakhand Act No. 23 of 2005) and Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Act, 2011 (Uttarakhand Act No. 22 of 2011)
Be it enacted by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand State University (Amendment) Act, 2018.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of notification by the State Government.
- Substitution of sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Uttarakhand Act No. 18 of 2005.- In the Doon University Act, 2005, sub-section (1) of Section 14 shall be substituted as follows, namely-
`14(1) Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar shall be appointed by the State Government through "Centralised Service Rules" in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.'.
- Substitution of sub-section (1) of Section 13 of the Uttarakhand Act No. 23 of 2005.- In the Uttarakhand Open University Act, 2005, sub-section (1) of Section 13 shall be substituted as follows, namely-
'13(1) Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar shall be appointed by the State Government through "Centralised Service Rules" in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.'.
- Repeal of sub-section (2) of Section 14 of the Uttarakhand Act No. 22 of 2011.- Sub-section (2) of Section 14 of the Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Act, 2011 is hereby repealed.
