Deepa Christopher who is a NUJS Kolkata 2005 alumnus was promoted to Counsel at Talwar Thakore & Associates (TTA) with effect from 1st October.
Christopher had a 'stint in-house' at Infosys before joining TTA in 2008.
TTA partner Feroz Dubash commented: “We are delighted at Deepa’s promotion to Counsel. She has been at the forefront of our corporate practice and has worked on some of our most challenging transactions, particularly in the areas of insurance, pharma and data protection. We look forward to continuing to work with her in her new role.”
Talwar Thakore & Associates now has 6 partners namely Kunal Thakore, Feroz Dubash, Sonali Mahapatra, Rahul Gulati, Rituparno Bhattacharya and Shruti Zota and 2 Counsel (Ram Kumar in Delhi and now Deepa Christopher in Mumbai).
