On Saturday, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat laid the foundation stone of a National Law University in Ranipokhari.

The University is to be constructed at a cost of Rs 26 crore and will come up on 10 acres and would be the Country’s 23 rd such varsity.

The CM said at the ceremony that the university will not only be a hub of quality education in the state but will also help in the development of the nearby areas.

“We hope that students from across the country will come here to study.”

The CM also inaugurated projects worth Rs 73 crore in the Doiwala area and later, in the day, went to Haldwani where as per a communique from the CM’s Office, he inaugurated projects worth Rs 197.50 crore.
