She had engaged them for Bail of her Brother jailed in a Murder Case.
A 40-year-old woman alleged that she was gang-raped by 2 lawyers on premises of Rohini Courts.
As per the written complaint, the woman stated that the incident took place on the afternoon of 29th September when she went to the court to apply for bail of her 18 years old brother who is lodged in Tihar jail in connection with a murder case.
A senior police officer said based on the complaint, police have registered a case under Section 376D and 506 of the IPC at the Prashant Vihar police station.
The victim is a resident of Swaroop Nagar who went to the Rohini Court.
Here she met a female lawyer who took her to a chamber, where two male lawyers were present. The female lawyer who was later identified as Nirmala introduced the woman to the two lawyers.
"They claimed that in lieu of ₹7000, they'll get her brother released. After negotiation, she paid them ₹3,000,” the complainant said.
She said that Nirmala ordered tea & offered a cup to her, the victim fell unconscious & when she woke up, she found that she was partially undressed.
Suspecting that she had been sexually assaulted, she confronted Nirmala, Police said. That woman threatened me of dire consequences saying she'll get me kidnapped. Afraid,she asked to be alone. However, Nirmala dropped her outside my house.
In the complainant, the victim stated that after the death of her husband 4 years ago, she was living with her 5 children & a brother.
Since 1 of her son & brother are involved in a criminal case, she alleged that she went to the Rohini Courts to get legal assistance.
On Friday, Police said, "We're scanning through the CCTV footage of the cameras installed in the Court premises. The probe is on.”
