June 23, 2018:
Decision of Former Chief Justice of Kerala HC has been suo moto recalled by the Administrative Committee headed by New Acting Chief Justice of the High Court, Justice Hrishikesh Roy.
Former Chief Justice Antony Dominic had accepted the request of four lawyers not to post their cases before Justice V.Chitambaresh.
Administrative Committee headed by Chief Justice Hrishikesh Roy has stated that,“It creates a bad precedent and may encourage bench hunting/forum shopping”.
Order of Former CJ pertains to cases in which Senior Advocate K. Jayakumar, Senior Advocate S.V Balakrishna Iyer, Advocate P.B.Krishnan and Advocate P.B Subramanian were appearing.
Former Chief Justice Antony Dominic took this decision on May 28, a day prior to his retirement
The Order was passed due to a issue of a missing case files.
