Narasimha, who was appointed ASG in 2014 when the BJP government came to power.

The bench of SA Bobde and Abhay Manohar Sapre has appointed Senior Advocate PS Narsimha  as a mediator in all the matters relating to BCCI pending before the Court.

Senior advocate PS Narsimha was recently appointed as amicus curiae to assist in the BCCI case.

This came after senior advocate Gopal Subramanium expressed reservation over being an amicus in BCCI case.

Narasimha, who was appointed ASG in 2014 when the BJP government came to power, has conducted major cases for the Central government. He resigned as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) citing personal reasons. He has given a three-months notice and will continue to hold the post till December 15 last year.

The SC-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) has also requested the apex court to appoint an ombudsman to decide the fates of cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahu

Narsimha was the amicus curiae in the said matter before being appointed as the mediator.

Narsimha will hear grievances of state associations regarding the non-release of funds.

He will then make recommendations to CoA. and make recommendations to the Committee of Administration.

The Court said that if any party is not satisfied with the outcome of the mediation, it can come to Court.

Recently while addressing the budding lawyers he had said “Do not forget, the purpose of this sector, the main aim is pursuit of truth.”

He added that the most difficult part is to find the truth. In law, he said are the three divisions, the plaintiff, the defendant and the judge. He clarified that there is no difference between the lawyer and the judge as both are working with a same aim, their advice is nothing but to decipher the truth.

Mr. PS Narasimha said that this platform, which is completely selfless and aims to take up this social responsibility, is a great initiative and would definitely be “popular” and reach higher levels with every passing year.

He added that education should aim at providing jobs, and every education institution in India should aim at it. He also added that in India when a person reaches a position must take initiative to support seekers of jobs in his fraternity; this would develop a stronger country.
