February 19, 2018:
Accused was brought for regular check up, now police raids are on to nab him.
Today an Accused fled from the custody of Delhi Police personnel from Govt. run Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) hospital where he was taken for a routine check up.
Prisoner, identified as Sandeep, is said to have thrown chilli powder at three police personnel who were escorting him to the hospital and fled.
Policemen were from the 3rd battalion of Delhi Armed Police which is responsible for transporting prisoners from jails to courts and hospitals.
Mandeep Singh Randhawa, deputy commissioner of police (Central) shared the incident took place around noon and teams have been formed to trace the prisoner.
He added that Police is collecting details regarding the absconding prisoner and the crimes he was involved in.
Police personnel deployed at borders have been alerted. Raids are on to nab Sandeep.
