A ‘fatwa’ was issued against the Prime Minister for ‘bluffing’ people through demonetisation.
A Police Complaint has been lodged by BJP in West Bengal against a Imam of Kolkata for issuing a ‘fatwa’ against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has demanded his immediate arrest.
Shahi Imam of Kolkata’s Tipu Sultan Masjid, Syed Mohammad Nurur Rahman Barkati issued a ‘fatwa’ against Prime Minister, accusing him of ‘bluffing’ with the people through the demonetisation.
Evoking a sharp reaction from BJP, which demanded his arrest.
BJP state secretary Ritesh Tiwari, has lodged a Police Complaint in Jorasakho Police Station and has demanded action against him.
Last year, Barkati had issued a ‘fatwa’ against the BJP State President Dilip Ghosh for his comments against Mamta Banerjee.
