November 11,2017:

Graft case involves the allegations of the bribery against the members of  higher judiciary in a matter regarding opening of a Medical College.

A day after SC asserted that the CJI is "Master of the Roster" and overturned order of a two-judge bench to set up a larger bench to hear a graft case involving the judges, CJI Dipak Misra has now constituted a three-Judge Bench to hear the petition.

New Three Judge Bench comprises of Justice RK Agarwal, Justice AK Mishra and Justice AM Khanwilkar, all of whom were part of Constitution Bench which had yesterday annuled order of Bench of Justice J Chelameswar and Justice S Abdul Nazeer directing that Constitution of a bench of Five Senior-most Judges of Supreme Court to hear the matter.

Supreme Court's Bench headed by CJI had asserted that allocation of the matters by CJI was principle of law, judicial discipline and decorum of the court.

CJI Dipak Misra told Advocate Prashant Bhushan, who appeared on behalf of NGO 'Campaign for Judicial Accountability' and advocate Kamini Jaiswal, that he has levelled "wild allegations" against him (Justice Misra) in a matter in which the CBI had lodged a corruption case.

Prashant Bhushan had then stormed out of packed courtroom stating that he was not being allowed to speak on the matter.
