October 16,2018:
Recently, a man allegedly attempted to rape a 25-year-old Lawyer in a park in South-East Delhi's Amar Colony on September 21.
Woman had gone to the Park for evening walk at the time of the incident.
The Victim narrated the ordeal in a post on Facebook.
She alleged that she was sexually harassed in park around 7.30 pm on September 21 when she had gone for an evening stroll to nearby Kailash Hills Park in Amar colony when an unknown person came from behind and tried to assault her.
Lady Advocate stated that when she tried to catch hold of the accused and hit him, he hit her back and managed to flee by climbing up the wall.
The Victim, Advocate leveled serious allegations against Delhi Police claiming that an FIR was not registered for hours, adding that it was only lodged after she spoke to SHO and narrated the ordeal.
Case has been registered under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code by Delhi police.
Accused Amar, was arrested the same day after Woman accompanied a Police Officer to the Park, where accused was spotted sitting.
