The Death sentences that have been handed down to the 15 Indians lodged in a Kuwaiti Jail have been commuted to the life imprisonment by Emir of Kuwait stated the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj..
Swaraj further added that Emir has also directed that sentences of 119 Indian nationals will be reduced.
Swaraj has thanked Emir of Kuwait for his "kind" gesture and stated that Indian Embassy in that country will extend assistance to Indian Nationals who will be released from the jails.
