The Committee has further extended tenures of four existing ASGs namely, PS Narasimha, Maninder Singh, Tushar Mehta and Pinky Anand till June 30, 2020.
On Wednesday, Appointments Committee of Union Cabinet, has confirmed for the appointment of Senior Advocates Aman Lekhi, Vikramjit Banerjee and Sandeep Sethi as the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) for Supreme Court. Senior Advocate Maninder Acharya has been appointed as the ASG for the Delhi HC.
They will serve as the Additional Solicitor General till June 30, 2020.
Post of the Solicitor General for India has been lying vacant now for about more than 3 months, since the Senior Advocate Ranjit Kumar had resigned on 20th October,2017.
