Order

29/11/2021

Learned advocates have placed on record the copies of

judgments of the Supreme Court dated 11.11.2021 in the case of

Bajri Lease Lol Holders Welfare Society vs. The State of Rajasthan

and others. Learned Additional Advocate General placed an office

(2 of 2) [CW-6300/2021]

order dated 14.11.2021 and stated that in view of the said

judgment of Supreme Court, the mining lease of the private

respondents have been cancelled.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that mining

operations are still going on.

It is expected that the State authorities shall ensure that no

such mining takes place in the area where lease has been

cancelled. It would be the duty of the authorities to stop any such

mining if it is otherwise going on.

With these observations and directions, the petition is

disposed of.
