The GIL 9th National Moot Court Competition 2019 will be held on 23-24th February, 2019 at Geeta Institute of Law(GIL), Panipat, Delhi NCR.

Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat is pleased to announce the 9th National Moot Court Competition, 2019.The event will be held on 23-24th February, 2019.

We invite Universities/Institutes across India to participate in the competition which will be held on 23-24th February, 2019.

The previous editions of National Moot Court Competition have proved to be an enriching experience for the participants owing to its unconventional and challenging moot propositions and high standards of judging.

The discipline and transparency with which this competition is conducted has contributed in its previous successful chapters leading to an increased participation from year to year since its inception.

Eligibility

The Competition is open for bonafide students pursuing 5 Year and 3 Years L L.B. Course.

Language

The language for the Competition shall be English only.

Team Composition

Each participating university/college/institute shall nominate only one team consisting of three student members(two speakers and one researcher).

Clarification Moot Problem

Clarification to the Moot Proposition may be sought by sending an e-mail to moot2019@geeta.edu.in on or before 16th January, 2019. Clarification send after this date shall not be entertained.

Oral Rounds

The Oral rounds shall comprise of: (i) Preliminary Round (Two) (ii) Quarter – Final Round (iii) Semi – Final Round (iv) Final Round

Accommodation

The participants would be provided with accommodation at the premises of the Institute/any other suitable premises during the competition. Please note that separate accommodation will be provided for girls and boys.

Note: Rs 1500/- for every additional member (Only Faculty) accompanying the teams. We will allow any additional Member (Only Faculty) for accommodation after getting the recommendation letter from the Dean/HOD of the concerned Institute.

Registration Fee

Rs 5000/-for each participating team consisting of 3 members.

The teams should provisionally register through e-mail by sending a mail to moot2019@geeta.edu.in (with the subject “Provisional Registration for 9th National Moot Court Competition, 2019”) by 1st January 2019. Please mention your name, college name, contact details in provisional registration.

9 23rd February, 2019 (Morning) Registration & Memorial Exchange
10 23rd February, 2019 Researcher’s Test
11 23rd February, 2019 Preliminary Round I & Preliminary Round II
12 24th February, 2019 Quarter Finals, Semi Finals & Final Round
13 24th February, 2019 Valedictory and Prize Distribution

Official Language

The official working language of the Moot Court is English.

Team Composition

Each participating university/college/institute shall nominate only one team consisting of three student members.

Prizes

Winning Team: a. Winner Trophy b. Cash Prize of Rs. 21000/- Runner up Team Award: a. Runner up Trophy b. Cash Prize of Rs. 11000/- Teams qualifying for Semi-finals Each Team member shall be awarded with a trophy as a token of appreciation. Best Memorial Award Rs. 2100/- with trophy Second Best Memorial Award Rs. 1500/- with trophy Best Mooter (Male) Award Rs. 2100/- with trophy Best Mooter (Female) Award Rs. 2100/- with trophy Best Researcher Award Rs. 2100/- with trophy * All the Participants will get participation certificates post the Valedictory Ceremony.*
