----Respondents For Petitioner(s) : Mr. Pankaj Sharma (through VC) For Respondent(s) : Ms. Alka Bhatnagar, AGA HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANDEEP MEHTA HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMESHWAR VYAS Judgment 16/08/2021 The instant habeas corpus petition has been preferred by the petitioner Govind Singh seeking a direction for production of alleged detenue Smt. Kanta in this Court. (Downloaded on 17/08/2021 at 10:20:22 PM)

(2 of 2) [HC-256/2021] We have heard and considered the submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel and have gone through the material placed on record. Ex-facie, it is apparent, that Smt. Kanta is legally wedded wife of one Shri Trilok Singh son of Shri Prabhu Singh. The petitioner claims that Smt. Kanta is being maltreated in the matrimonial home and that she developed a love affair with him. It is also alleged that Smt. Kanta is wrongfully confined at either Ajmer or Masooda.

Be that as it may. We are of the firm opinion that there is nothing on record to satisfy the Court that Smt. Kanta is wrongfully confined or that her life and limb are at danger. In addition thereto, the petitioner has no locust standi whatsoever to seek production of Smt. Kanta in these proceedings because she is legally wedded wife to Shri Trilok Singh son of Shri Prabhu Singh.

In this background, we find no merit in this habeas corpus petition, which is dismissed as such. Rule is discharged. (RAMESHWAR VYAS),J (SANDEEP MEHTA),J 61/-Devesh/-
