Learned Counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a judgment of Delhi High Court delivered in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College Vs. National Council for Teacher Education & Anr. (W.P.(C) 8820/2019, decided on 18.10.2019) and four other connected matters, whereby the concerned Regional Committees were directed to reconsider the applications of the writ petitioners in the captioned matters without being burdened by the fact that various State Governments have imposed a ban (Downloaded on 26/08/2021 at 08:50:30 PM) (2 of 2) [CW-8214/2021] on setting up of new institutions and granting recognition to new courses. Counsel for the petitioner submits the present petition may be disposed of in terms of the directions issued in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College (Supra).
Counsel for the respondent Mr. Vivek Shrimali does not dispute the aforesaid proposition.
In view of submissions made, the writ petition is disposed of terms of the directions issued in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College (Supra) and it is ordered that the concerned Regional Committees will reconsider the applications of the petitioners in the captioned matters without being burdened by the fact that various State Governments have imposed a ban on setting up of new institutions and granting recognition to new courses.
Nedless to add, the applications will be considered by the NCTE on their own their merit as expeditiously as possible, though, not later than twelve (12) weeks from the dated of receit of a copy of the order.
